Danny Rose says he’s excited by playing under Jose Mourinho at Tottenham

Danny Rose is excited to be working under Jose Mourinho at Tottenham and believes the club can get into the top four this season under him.

As per the , Rose also said he didn’t ever expect Mourinho to come to Tottenham and hopes to enjoy success with the Portuguese.

He : “Everyone has to start again. I’m no different to anybody else. I’m here for the next 18 months. I want to do as well as I possibly can, work as hard as I can to achieve what looked impossible a few weeks ago, and that is finishing in the top four.

“I never thought I would be managed by Jose Mourinho at Spurs. That’s credit to the club and how well they’ve progressed. I felt very lucky to work under Mauricio [Pochettino] and I feel very lucky to work under Jose. He’s won a lot of trophies and we’re all excited.”

TBR’s View – Mourinho can make Rose a winner before he leaves Tottenham

Rose is a straight talker and so is Mourinho. Pochettino may have had a major hand in transforming Rose into an international defender, but he was also manager as the club tried to sell him year after year.

Rose seems to have a natural departure date in mind – the end of next season – and Mourinho’s short-term vision and desire for trophies can help the England international left a trophy or two before he leaves Spurs.
