Six months since leaving Tottenham, 31-year-old international has just been dropped from club’s 25-man squad
Tottenham might have shipped out plenty of deadwood in the last 12 months but it can’t be said there was much shock when left-back Danny Rose left for Watford in the summer.
The former England defender was surplus to requirements at Spurs and opted for a fresh start with the Hornets. But the Vicarage Road outfit, now on their third manager of the season, appear to have already made their mind up on Rose. And it’s not good news for the full-back.

Premier League clubs have revealed their updated 25-man squads for the rest of the season. And unfortunately for Danny Rose, he has been , Roy Hodgson.
Rose was infamous on the Tottenham All Or Nothing documentary series for looking to engineer a move away from the club. A spell with Newcastle failed to really ignite his career, and this season is another low for the defender.
Tottenham, as we know, have moved quickly on from Danny Rose. Sergio Reguilon is the main man in that position now under Antonio Conte.
Rose, meanwhile, will be left wondering what’s gone on. After being a regular for England, at 31, he now finds himself completely out of the picture with Watford.
TBR’s View: Danny Rose Always On A Slippery Slope
It’s not just Rose doing poorly with Watford. Their entire squad has been poor this season, so you can’t really pin the blame on him entirely for their poor season so far.
But you do have to wonder what has happened with Rose overall. He was, at one point, the main man at Tottenham but obviously got side-tracked along the way. Now, he’s left looking like a player who has simply lost his way.
Whether Danny Rose finds another club, remains to be seen. Tottenham, meanwhile, will probably be glad they parted ways in the end.
