Danny Murphy says Sean Dyche or Chris Wilder would outperform Unai Emery at Arsenal
Former Tottenham midfielder Danny Murphy has suggested Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder or Burnley boss Sean Dyche would better than Unai Emery at Arsenal.
Wilder’s Blades saw off the Gunners 1-o this season and sit above them in fifth in the Premier League, while Dyche’s Clarets are tenth.
And Murphy endorsed their credentials on : “This is Arsenal, they’re trying to compete and get back into the Champions League places, but they haven’t got enough. Ultimately tactically they’re so inept.
“If you look at Sean Dyche and Chris Wilder at Sheffield United, they are two English managers who have come up the hard way. Would Arsenal be in a better position now if Wilder was in charge or Dyche? Would they have more points? I think [they would], 100 per cent.”

TBR’s View – Dyche has history of criticising Arsenal
Back in December 2018, Dyche accusing Arsenal’s players of blatantly ‘cheating’ by diving to win free-kicks.
Both Wilder and Dyche have done exceptionally well, but have no European experience beyond Burnley’s brief Europa League spell last season and that’s likely to rank high on the list of what Arsenal want.
Emery’s days look to be numbered and it’s important that Arsenal get this next appointment right – whenever he does go – because at the moment they are limp, lifeless and lacking identity.
