Danny Murphy says he’s been really impressed by ‘special’ Manchester United teenager

Danny Murphy believes that Alejandro Garnacho is looking like a special talent following his performance up against Destiny Udogie for Manchester United at the weekend.

Alejandro Garnacho was involved in one of the most intriguing battles in the draw with Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend, with Destiny Udogie in stunning form at left-back this season.

It proved to be a disappointing afternoon for Erik ten Hag’s side. They led twice before being pegged back. And Scott McTominay missed a golden chance to win it late on. However, United were outplayed for large parts of the game.

Garnacho however, was arguably one of their best players against Ange Postecoglou’s men.

And speaking on , Danny Murphy suggested that he is a really big fan of the Argentina international.

“I think he’s better on the right, by the way. He gets round people. At least he kept having a go [against Udogie]. He doesn’t go backwards, he’s a special one. And that’s why Sancho will maybe have to find somewhere because Garnacho’s not going anywhere. Yeah, I like him,” he said.

Winger will be there if club return to the top

Manchester United fans are having to constantly debate exactly what it is that is going to take the club back towards the summit of the Premier League.

Certainly, big changes are needed. But Garnacho is one of those who will be giving supporters reason for optimism. He has been a class act. And of course, his goal against Everton back in November will go down in Premier League history as one of the greatest strikes the competition has seen.

He is not the finished article just yet. But he looks to be one of the players who could still be there if United do manage to return to a level where they are competing for Premier League and Champions League glory.
