Danny Murphy impressed by Daniel James for Leeds against Watford
Leeds United picked up their first win of the Premier League season as they scraped past Watford 1-0 at Elland Road on a wet and windy day in West Yorkshire.
A goal from Diego Llorente was enough to seal all three points, although Watford did have a goal very harshly ruled out late on. But, it was not to be for the Hornets and Marcelo Bielsa can be happy going into the international break.

The Leeds manager opted to start with both his big guns on the wings in the form of Daniel James and Raphinha. James, in particular, caught the eye at times and BBC MOTD pundit, Danny Murphy, believes the ex-Man United man showed his hand yesterday.
“James, he gives them the extra energy and press. He has got superb attitude and desire to do the right things,” .
“He could have capped off his performance with a goal as well.”
James, a , is yet to score for the Whites. However, his pace, energy, and immediate buy-in into how Bielsa plays, should ensure he is a success.
TBR’s View: Daniel James to be a big for Leeds this season
In a way, it’s probably good Leeds get James now, rather than a few years ago when his move collapsed as the last minute. He’s had that bit of time with Man United, and can bring more experience.
At the moment, he’s just growing into things. But he was a threat at times yesterday, while his pressing is brilliant for a Bielsa side.
Leeds have done well to get James and £25m, in the long-term, will prove money well spent.
