Danny Murphy claims Liverpool, Arsenal or Spurs would improve with Jack Grealish

Danny Murphy that Jack Grealish would walk into Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur’s teams right now, while he also insisted that he would have the Aston Villa man in ahead of Naby Keita for Liverpool.

Grealish has been outstanding since the Villans returned to the Premier League. He has scored six goals and contributed five assists for Dean Smith’s side. Perhaps unsurprisingly, he tops the tallies in both areas for Villa.

And Villa will surely be expecting to face a fight to hold onto Grealish, regardless of how they get on during the remaining months of the season.

Murphy believes that the 24-year-old is already good enough for a host of top clubs at the highest level. He even suggested that he would back him to get into the current Liverpool team.

“He’d walk into the Arsenal, Spurs and Manchester United teams right away,” .

“Even though Liverpool are currently well-stocked for midfielders, what if Gini Wijnaldum doesn’t sign a new contract and James Milner gets to a certain age?

“Could Jack do the hard yards Jurgen Klopp demands? Yes. Would I have him ahead of Naby Keita for example? Yes.”

Grealish has certainly improved significantly since Villa were relegated from the Premier League. He seemed to relish becoming their talisman, and continues to thrive now he is their captain.

It does appear that he has the potential to make an impact for sides battling closer to the summit. And Villa will know how important it is that they continue to make progress to boost their chances of keeping him for as long as possible.

It will be intriguing to see whether the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool do come calling if he begins to contemplate his Villa future at any stage.
