Danny Cowley issues verdict on Arsenal loanee Miguel Azeez
Danny Cowley that Arsenal loanee Miguel Azeez has enough technical ability and desire to make sure that he goes on and enjoys a superb career in the future.
Azeez has had an interesting time since joining Portsmouth on loan. The 19-year-old only managed to make one League One appearance before the end of October.

And after some bright performances in the league and cup in early November, it appeared to be an ominous sign when he then returned to the bench for the clashes with Wimbledon and Lincoln City.
However, the Gunners starlet now appears to have the opportunity to cement a spot in the Pompey side. He has started their last two league games, and featured in three in a row.
Supporters will be hoping that working with Cowley proves to be as impactful for Azeez as it had been for Emile Smith Rowe.

Interestingly, Cowley has backed the Arsenal youngster for great things beyond his time at Fratton Park.
“His technical ability and his athleticism will give him every opportunity to have a great career,” . “He’s done really, really well. He’s another one who is incredibly driven, with an outstanding level of focus and he’s a student of the game.
“He always wants to learn, develop and improve. He’s fought his way into the team, and good on him.”
Azeez set to return to Arsenal at time when Mikel Arteta needs more in midfield
Obviously, Azeez’s time at Portsmouth so far does not leave him in the best position to send a message to Mikel Arteta. However, he has looked impressive on a regular basis for the under-23s and in pre-season.
He is now starting to make an impact for Pompey. And that may be particularly important given that it does appear that Arsenal need further reinforcements in the middle.
Mohamed Elneny is out of contract in the summer. So Azeez can perhaps set his sights on moving up the pecking order and providing cover for the likes of Thomas Partey and Albert Sambi Lokonga ahead of next season.
