Daniel Sturridge and Bastian Schweinsteiger have praise for Liverpool, after 5-0 win over Manchester United
Liverpool produced a record-breaking display to beat Manchester United 5-0 – prompting reaction from Daniel Sturridge and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Coming into the match, United had been in questionable form – a 3-2 win over Atalanta was still heavily criticised, by those including Paul Scholes.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are in excellent form. They remain unbeaten this season in all competitions, and were fresh from beating Atletico Madrid.
On Sunday, it was a mis-match. Liverpool were dominant, with Mo Salah netting a hat-trick at Old Trafford to the disgust of the home support.
Naby Keita opened the scoring on Sunday – assisted by Salah before Diogo Jota tapped home a second. Then, Salah put United to the sword.
An immense win, that saw Sir Alex Ferguson visibly fuming in the stands – while Sir Kenny Dalglish wore a beaming smile for the latter stages.

What have Schweinsteiger and Sturridge said, as Liverpool win?
The win was not enough to take Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table, with Chelsea’s impressive 7-0 win over Norwich keeping them in first.
But the Reds are on fire, Salah is now considered the best player in the world on current form, and Jurgen Klopp has his best back from injury.
Right now, it seems foolish to bet against The Reds from finishing top of the Premier League table come next May. But a lot can change.
Schweinsteiger, an ex-United midfielder, applauded Liverpool while Sturridge was full of praise for his old side on Twitter after the win.
