Daniel Farke shares Oliver Skipp hope after Spurs starlet’s loan
Daniel Farke has suggested that Norwich City will hold talks with Tottenham Hotspur about a fresh deal for Oliver Skipp this summer, insisting that Jose Mourinho’s departure is unlikely to change Spurs’ stance on the midfielder’s future – .
Skipp has enjoyed a remarkable season at Carrow Road. Norwich have largely cruised to the Championship title. And the 20-year-old is the only player to have featured in every single league game.

Tottenham fans may be hoping that he is back in the fold next season. But of course, there is now an additional layer of uncertainty over Skipp’s future.
Jose Mourinho’s departure from Spurs was announced on Monday. So Skipp – along with several others – will likely have no idea what the plans for him are moving forward.

But Farke has insisted that he would love to bring him back, and expressed his hope that Mourinho’s exit will have no impact on whether another deal could be agreed.
“We were grateful and thankful he was allowed to help us. But we fully accept he is a Tottenham player and it is not in our hands what happens with his future,” he said, .
“We will see. Our talks with them are always good. We have a great relationship with them.
“I don’t think it (Mourinho’s sacking) makes a major impact.
“The discussions were between the two clubs and it was not just like I had a four-hour telephone call with Jose about Oliver and he said: ‘OK I send him out on loan’.”
Skipp looks to be on the cusp of being around the first-team squad in North London. So Norwich are surely going to have to bide their time as they await a decision.
It is surely going to be imperative that the incoming boss has a say on the plans for Skipp next season.
Some Spurs fans have seen how he has performed this season and expressed some disappointment that he was loaned out.
So letting him leave again could actually be deemed a bit of a gamble from Tottenham.
