Dani Ceballos reacts to Arsenal’s FA Cup win on Instagram; Kroos and Adrian reply

Dani Ceballos received messages of congratulations from Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian and Toni Kroos after the Arsenal loanee took to Instagram to celebrate the Gunners’ FA Cup win over the weekend.

Mikel Arteta’s side clinched their 14th win in the competition as they came from behind to beat Chelsea at Wembley. Two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saw the game turn on its head after the Gunners went a goal down early on.

It was a fantastic end to what has been a tough season for Arsenal. But given the impact that Arteta seems to have made since his appointment, some may argue that it was a fitting ending to the campaign.

Arteta is having to make gradual progress at the Emirates. But there is no question that a number of previously-underperforming stars have improved under the Spaniard’s guidance.

And his countryman is surely one of those who has stepped up significantly.

If Arsenal fans had been asked in January whether they would be hopeful to see Ceballos’s loan extended beyond this season, the majority would have been forgiven for admitting that they would probably not mind if he did not return this summer.

However, Ceballos has been outstanding since Arteta’s arrival. And it would be difficult to argue with those who felt that the 23-year-old had been the club’s best player since the season’s resumption.

The pressure is now on the Gunners to make sure that Ceballos stays beyond this term. But for now, the club can celebrate their campaign ending with silverware.

Following the win at Wembley, Ceballos took to Instagram to pay tribute to his teammates and the fans…

And Real Madrid teammate Kroos and Liverpool’s title-winner Adrian were amongst those to respond to the midfielder’s post.

Adrian – who was teammates with Ceballos at Real Betis – replied: ‘Enhorabuena artista’, which translates as: ‘Congratulations artist’.

Meanwhile, Kroos commented: ‘Congrats mate’.

Arsenal fans will, of course, be hoping that Kroos joins Adrian in becoming Ceballos’s former teammate this summer.
