‘Dangerous’ player has just arrived at West Ham to undergo his medical ahead of last-gasp move

West Ham United look set to end their summer transfer window in style with a matter of hours remaining on the clock.

It has been a summer of change at the London Stadium following the appointment of Julen Lopetegui earlier in the summer.

A busy transfer window has unfolded in east London with West Ham having completed a lot of their business early on.

Deadline day has promised potential player exits from the London Stadium with James Ward-Prowse set to leave West Ham for Nottingham Forest.

But there is still time for one more new face to come through the doors with the clock working against the Irons.

West Ham target now undergoing medical

Lopetegui started off the summer as he intended to go one with the addition of Max Kilman to put his stamp on this squad.

With Ward-Prowse looking set to depart, the Hammers have been looking to bring in a potential replacement over the final hours.

One player who has been of real interest to West Ham is Paris Saint-Germain’s Carlos Soler.

According to Ben Jacobs, Soler is now undergoing his medical at West Ham to cap off what has been a seriously impressive window.

The deal to see the 27-year-old join the Hammers sign on a loan basis from the French giants.

West Ham will have the option to make his deal permanent €25m (£21m) next summer if he is to impress in the Premier League.

It is a promising end to what has been a seriously positive start to life under Lopetegui.

West Ham now need to gel as a team

There is a lot to be said about West Ham’s summer transfer window with a lot of business having been sanctioned.

And the opening two games of the season have shown there is a lot of cause for optimism about what could be achieved this season.

However, there has been a lot of change made in east London and that will require the squad to gel with all of these new signings throught the door.

How quickly Soler will come into the starting XI will be interesting to see but he will have the entire international break to settle into life in London.
