Dan Burn so impressed by 30-year-old Newcastle player he previously felt bad for

Dan Burn has lauded Jamaal Lascelles and suggested that the centre-back has been unbelievable during this recent run in the Newcastle United team.

Burn was speaking on as he admitt𒈔ed that he felt bad for ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚsome of the players within the Newcastle squad who had previously been written off.

Jamaal Lascelles has already reached a significant landmark this season. The 30-year-old has now made nine Premier League appearan🗹ces. 📖He only featured seven times in the top-flight last year.

Dan Burn says Jamaal Lascelles has been unbelievable

Lascelles has come back into the side due to the injury sustained by Sven Botman. Botman has been such an impressive signing for the Magpies. But Lascelles has proved so m𓄧any people during his run in the Newcastle side.

And Dan Burn has clearly been deꦺlighted to see the captain get the opportunity to really prove himself after being part of the team which previously really struggled.

“I felt bad for some of the lads who were here before the takeover happened and when the gaffer wasn’t here, because they just got: ‘they can’t do it, they’re not good eno📖ugh to play and do this’,” he told .

“The lads are coming in now, people like Jamaal Lascelles, who’s coming in and he’s bee🎶n unbelievable since he’s come in to fill a hole that Sven’s left.”

Newcastle have real strength in depth now

In the eight🍎 games Lascelles has started over the last couple of months, Newcastle have only lost one of those fixtures. And of course, he also found the back of the net in the emphatic 4-1 win over Chelsea after the international break.

It is 🔜a fantastic🌟 sign that Newcastle have players who can come in and impress. Lascelles probably would have been a player some may have hoped to see moved on at some stage.

But he has really stepped up since Boꦜtman’s injury. And that is only going to stand Newcastle in good stead as they look to keep making progress.

Building a stronger squad is one of 🧔the tasks facing Howe. Having someone like Lascelles impress after months on the periphery shows that things are most definitely moving in the right direction on that front.
