Dallas lauds Rodrigo in reaction to striker’s performance in Leeds win
Stuart Dallas has lauded Rodrigo on Instagram in reaction to the forward’s performance as Leeds United beat Chelsea 3-0 at Elland Road on Sunday.
Rodrigo has been a real surprise package at the start of this season. He went into the weekend at the top of the Premier League goalscoring charts, having scored three in the opening two weeks.
The Spaniard had the Whites’ first attempt on goal during the first-half against the Blues. However, he dragged the attempt wide of Edouard Mendy’s post.
But he would not need to wait too long to add to his tally for the season. The 31-year-old produced a brilliant header to find the far corner following a Jack Harrison free-kick.
It has been an amazing start to the season for Rodrigo. Matt Kilgallon suggested that he looks to be a completely different player this season.

Rodrigo is certainly making Victor Orta’s life easier right now. Over the last few weeks, there were plenty of calls for Leeds to sign another striker before the transfer window closes.
And it seemed that the Whites would have no choice once Patrick Bamford limped off against Southampton.
It would still be a gamble to not sign anyone else. But Rodrigo has taken a lot of the pressure off with his stunning start to the campaign.
Of course, it is imperative that Rodrigo keeps something like this run of form going. He has had a few false dawns during a turbulent time at Leeds.
But there is surely no doubt whatsoever that he is playing the best football of his Leeds career right now.
