Daizen Maeda sends message to history-making teammate as he prepares to return to Celtic from loan
Celtic have a number of players out on loan this season and many of them are enjoying their spells away from the club to varying degrees.
Some are just happy to be playing first-team football again but others, like Yosuke Ideguchi, went a little step further than that.
The Japanese midfielder decided to go out on loan as he cast glances to making the Japan international squad.
Now his loan spell is over, he now returns to Celtic this month. But just before he did, he posted an emotional message to the Fukuoka fans on social media.
Ideguchi posted on , “Thank you for your support throughout the year. Although the season started with an injury, with these members on [of] staff, it was great to take the title away.”
The post was liked by over 3000 people and fellow Celtic teammate, Tomoki Iwata. But it was Daizen Maeda‘s wordless response that shows how close he is to his fellow countryman.

Yosuke Ideguchi was a tremendous success on loan from Celtic
This past season on loan could not have gone any better for the Japan midfielder. In fact, it could have. Injured with a broken ankle early into his move to Fukuoka, Ideguchi made a swift recovery and never left the first team.

Helping his side to a very respectable seventh place in the J League, Ideguchi made 32 appearances for his loan club.
Not only that, Ideguchi also helped create history for Fukuoka as he took them to the J League Cup Final where they won silverware for the first time in their history defeating Urawa Reds 2-1.
As Ideguchi leaves the club as a hero, reports are now suggesting that Avispa Fukuoka are in talks with Celtic to make his loan move permanent in January.
Whatever happens with Ideguchi, I hope he gets the success, and luck, that he deserves as he’s shown tremendous character to fight back from a year of horrible injuries to become a winner in Japan.
