Crystal Palace now eyeing move for ‘fantastic’ Arsenal player after his move to Nottingham Forest collapsed

Crystal Palace are now considering making a move for one of Arsenal’s fringe players after seeing another potential move collapse.

Palace have had a good window in the main and have added a number of quality additions to the squad.

However, they have also lost players like Michael Olise and Joachim Andersen, while there remains suggestions Marc Guehi could end up at Newcastle.

That means Palace do have some money to spend and according to reports, they’re now considering a bid for one of Arsenal’s wantaway stars.

Crystal Palace now considering bid for Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Palace are now considering a move for Nketiah.

It comes amid reports that Nketiah has seen a move to Nottingham Forest break down this weekend at the final hurdle.

Palace could be ideal for Eddie Nketiah

The time has come for Eddie Nketiah to make his move away from Arsenal and it does seem a shame that his move to Forest has broken down.

The ‘fantastic‘ striker has been on the periphery at Arsenal for some time now and he’s bided his time and been patient in trying to stake a claim to be a regular.

However, it is clear that Mikel Arteta doesn’t see him as a regular in his starting XI and it’s got to the point where Nketiah needs a switch.

A move to Palace would be a smart switch.

The Eagles are developing and coming along under Oliver Glasner and the idea of playing first-team football and working under Glasner will appeal to Nketiah.

Nketiah will look at Emile Smith Rowe’s move to Fulham – and his goal this weekend – as inspiration.

Palace, then, could well get themselves a player who is keen to prove themselves at Selhurst Park.
