‘Our best midfielder’: Crystal Palace fans react to Jeffrey Schlupp’s performance in FA Cup victory
Premier League outfit Crystal Palace secured a place in the quarter-final of the FA Cup yesterday with a 2-0 win over Doncaster Rovers.
The League One outfit made a decent fist of things against better quality opposition, but the Eagles showcased their class in the end.
Goals from Jeffrey Schlupp and Max Meyer saw Roy Hodgson’s men home, with Wembley now firmly in their sights.
Rovers put up a fight but there was always a feeling that the Eagles were comfortable throughout the contest.
Schlupp, in particular, was a shining light for Hodgson’s men and he has been in fine form since the turn of the year.
The 26-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular starting berth at Selhurst Park but is doing his chances no harm in the absence of Wilfried Zaha.
His goal yesterday was a fine individual effort and was his fourth goal of the campaign in all competitions.
Palace will hope that their FA Cup form can ignite their Premier League campaign, with the Eagles currently just three points clear of the relegation zone.
Sclupp was the standout performer in South Yorkshire yesterday and he will be looking for more opportunities to impress in the coming weeks.
Following the cup tie, Eagles supporters took to Twitter to praise the performance of the former Leicester City man…

So it’s clear to me is possibly under appreciated at palace – he’s won the league, yet not arrogant.. he’s on 5 goals… but doesn’t start every game.. he doesn’t cause drama.. he’s not fancy.. love him at palace.. true professional and team player!!

I like him, he’s a good player.
