Crystal Palace fans react to reports of move for Everton striker Cenk Tosun

Crystal Palace fans have been giving their reactions to rumours the club could be moving for Everton striker Cenk Tosun this month.

, the Eagles have begun talks with the Goodison Park outfit over the Turkey international, who is down in the pecking order.

Tosun, a January 2018 singing by Sam Allardyce, started brightly but faded pretty quickly for the Toffees, and in 2019/20 he has been unable to dislodge Dominic Calvert-Lewin from the starting XI.

Sky say Tosun would rather stay in the Premier League or move to the Bundesliga than go back to Turkey.

Palace are in the market for a new striker, having been the second-lowest scorers in the Premier League so far.

Jordan Ayew is the club’s top scorer at the moment with five.

The Ghanaian is enjoying a decent season at Selhurst Park, but is going unchallenged with Christian Benteke’s miserable form continuing.

A lot of Palace fans are keen to see a new striker arrive this month, but many don’t want that man to be Tosun:

As a Palace fan I have to ask “what do Directors of Football do?” We’ve needed 2 strikers and 2 full backs all season – 8 days in – nothing! More talk of players leaving than joining. Potential incomings, Tosun & Bentaleb, neither can cut it at current clubs. Wow!
