Crystal Palace fans react to performance of Mamadou Sakho in Chelsea loss
Crystal Palace put up a valiant effort against Chelsea before being narrowly beaten 3-2 by Frank Lampard’s team.
Olivier Giꦇroud opened the scoring for the Blues before Christian Pulisic ma🅺de it 2-0 just before the half-hour mark.
Wilfried Zaha pulled one back on 34 minutes with the Eaไgles pushing Chelsea hard for ♊an equalising goal.
Tammy Abraham restored a two-goal cushion fo𝓰r the visitors and although Christian Benteke re♕sponded immediately, they couldn’t quite find a way to steal a point.

Roy Hodgson will be happy with what h🌠e saw in large part of the game though. Palace can relax for the remaining games of the campaign, with the clu🐼b in no danger of the relegation trap door.
After the game, plenty of Palace fans were quick to disc🐓u෴ss the positives of the performance.
💜One man in particular who came in for some praise was Mamadou Sakho. The 30 was making his second start in succession and coped well against the aerial threat of Chelsea.
The £100,000-a-week ace was relentle💜ss with his defending and Palace fans were keen to comment on his performance.
Here is a selection of tweets from the supporters regarding Sakho’s latest displa𝕴y.

Great game, lovely goal from Wilf, great to see Benteke scoring and Sakho was immensꦫe- just a shame about the resu😼lt and our predictable substitutions

What makes today m꧒ore annoying is why we didn’t play like that against Burnley and Leicester, especially Burnley. So many big performances t🐬oday, Benteke, Wilf and Sakho on a different level to recent games.

I know Sakho haꦑs his critics but his passsing ability is understated.. gets us pushing forward

You won't see me c♈omplaining. We were superb. At the very least we deserved a draw. I thought Sakho, Van-Aanholt, Zaha and Benteke were class. As long as we continue to put in performances like that we'll pick up a few more points down the road.

Sakho was very very good

Massive, massive improvement. Benteke brilliant. Shoutout to Sakho also – faultless after coming on. Massive show of character from him after Saturday. I still have huge issue🥀s with Roy’s game management & Luka needs to be dropped – but plenty of positives otherwise.
