Crystal Palace eye ‘unbelievable’ £25m Tottenham target to replace Marc Guehi

Marc Guehi’s stock rose considerably this summer after the Crystal Palace defender’s performances at Euro 2024, and a move is now in the works for the England international.

Newcastle United ꦦ♏have reportedly made a new bid to Guehi this summer with the defender expected to make a move to St. James’ Park in the coming days, with Palace set to pocket as much as £60m for the former Chelsea man.

With Chadi Riad already being signed by the Eagles, more will need to be done if Oliver Glasner is to replace Guehi this summer, with the Engl👍and inte꧟rnational one of the best defensive talents in the Premier League.

And a move for a rumoured Tottenham player could be on the cards for Palace.

Palace eye Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah to replace Guehi

According to , Palace are interested in Trevoh Chalobah as a potent🔯ial replacement for Guehi, with the Chelsea defender allowed to leave wജest London this summer for around £25m.

With Chalobah also wanted by Tottenham, Palace face some strong competition for the centre-back’s signing, with the 25-year-old likely to depart Stamford Bridge having been left out of Enzo Maresca’s pre-season squad last month.

Hailed by Rio Ferdinand as ‘unbelievable’, Chalobah could be a natural fit🃏 for Palace as a replacement for Guehi given how similar the two defenders are, with both centre-backs coming through Chelsea’s academy.

Indeed, with so m🎃uch interest in Chalobah this summer, Palace will be hopeful that they’re not too late in signing the🍨 defender if Guehi’s move to Newcastle goes through, with the clock now ticking.

Chalobah is the perfect Palace signing if Guehi departs

With Chelsea once again looking towards a homegrown player to sell in order to help balance the books, Palace can look to take advantage of the Blues’ immaturity in theꦗ market to bring Chalobah to Selhurst Park.

Should Guehi leave, Chalobah would be the perfect signing for Palace, with the Chelsea defender only one year older than tꦓhe Englanꦇd international yet just as experienced and impressive in the Premier League.

With a £25m asking price, Palace have the funds to beat the likes of Tottenham to Chalobah, and the Chelꦓsea man should be keen to join a project as exciting as what Glasner is overseeing in south London.
