Cristian Romero now reacts after news coming out of Tottenham ahead of Manchester City clash

Tottenham Hotspur fans received some great news this week – James Maddison is back – and Cristian Romero seems absolutely delighted.

Spurs have had terrible luck with injuries this season, haven’t they? They’ve missed a number of their key players for large parts of the campaign, and the biggest one has probably been Maddison. Now, he’s back for the game against Manchester City tonight.

Cristian Romero reacts after James Maddison returns to Tottenham training

Tottenham have been without James Maddison since their defeat against Chelsea back in November.

The Englishman suffered an ankle injury that was initially not thought to be serious. However, Spurs’ worst fears came true after a scan, and he hasn’t played since.

Maddison returned to full training with the group earlier this week, and Ange Postecoglou revealed in his press conference yesterday that the playmaker is fit to start.

That is excellent news if you’re a Spurs fan, and fellow vice-captain Cristian Romero seems delighted to have his partner back fit.

Ahead of the big game against Manchester City tonight, Maddison posted a picture of himself and Romero on his and wrote: “Matchday – 1.”

The Argentine reposted that onto his own and wrote: “Topmadd back!”

Maddison’s return is a huge boost for Spurs

Tottenham take on Manchester City in the FA Cup tonight in what is a massive game.

Spurs are desperate to bring an end to their trophy drought, and the FA Cup is their most realistic chance of winning silverware this season.

Manchester City are always a tough side to face, but Spurs have an incredible record against the champions, especially at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Ange Postecoglou will hope their good run continues tonight, and James Maddison’s return is a massive boost for them. If he has a good game, Spurs could knock City out.
