Coventry fans react as Aston Villa loanee Callum O’Hare makes his debut
Callum O’Hare made his debut for Coventry City in the 1-0 win over Gillingham. After joining on a season-long loan from Aston Villa earlier this week, O’Hare was thrown into the action straight away.
Mark Robins named O’Hare on the bench as Coventry took on Gillingham in League One. The Sky Blues remained unbeaten with their 1-0 victory which kept them in the play-off zone.
O’Hare joined Robins’ squad to bolster their midfield options. He impressed on loan at Carlisle United last season and Aston Villa want him to gain experience in League One.

Robins brought the 21-year-old into the action on 67 minutes as he replaced Zain Westbrooke. Coventry were already 1-0 up at that stage, through Dom Hyam’s goal, and O’Hare helped see the game out.
Coventry fans seemed impressed enough by O’Hare’s start in a sky blue shirt. Supporters noted that he is not quite up to full match fitness and he does not have the relationship with his players yet. However, he still showed some promise.
Here are some tweets from Coventry fans discussing O’Hare’s debut.
He looked good ok the ball. Needs some chance to train as not sure he really knew his role or that of others. But that will come, looks like he will create goals. Overall team was poor today but three points who cares

That’s the key point. Looks tidy but wasn’t on the same wavelength as the other players. Early days
