Could these three centre-backs replace John Stones at Everton?
Shkodran Mustafi
Shkodran Mustafi was one of Germany’s centre backs in their recent Euro 2016 campaign, and was the man that scored Joachim Low’s sides first goal of the tournament.
At just 24 years of age, Mustafi is reaching the peak of his powers and still has plenty of time on his side to become a potential club legend, given he was actually part of Everton’s youth system.
Not only is the German solid at the back with a great tackling ability, but at 6 ft tall he is also very capable of scoring a header, having scored six goals in 61 games for his current club Valencia.
A potential stumbling block in signing Mustafi is he still has three years left on his current deal, but if Stones sells for £50 million, Everton will certainly have the resources to get Shkodran’s signature.
