Cooper lauds Klich on Instagram in reaction to Leeds player’s performance
Liam Cooper has lauded Mateusz Klich on Instagram in reaction to the Leeds United star’s performance in their Carabao Cup win over Barnsley on Wednesday.
Jesse Marsch’s side are through to the third round of the competition. They beat the Tykes 3-1 to set up a tie with Wolves in November.

Luis Sinisterra took many of the headlines with a brilliant goal on his full debut. But it was Klich who scored the two goals that ensured that it was a fairly simple night for Leeds.
Klich, of course, has had a frustrating time this season. The Poland international is yet to start a single game in the Premier League.

Marsch hinted in pre-season that the 32-year-old could leave. Obviously, the World Cup will be in Klich’s thinking.
But Klich then changed the game on the opening day of the campaign when he came on against Wolves. And he has featured in all three of their Premier League fixtures.
But Wednesday marked his first start of the season. And he certainly made the most of the opportunity.

Klich scored twice, with his first coming from the penalty spot. His second was a moment of brilliance from the midfielder as he found the top corner with a first-time effort from the edge of the box.
Certainly, it was the kind of display that helps remind everyone that Klich has plenty to offer Leeds if he stays. And one of those who was impressed was Cooper.
The captain made his first appearance of the season in the tie. And he lauded Klich on Instagram following the win…
