Although the 25-year-old has been a regular on the left, there has been increasing speculation about his future.

In March, journalist Gerard Romero claimed on that Reguilon’s agents have offered his services to Barcelona.

Fabrizio Romano has also on the Blaugrana’s reported interest in the Tottenham man.

In addition, Real Madrid apparently have a 40m euro (£33.5million) buy-back clause for Reguilon.

However, Spurs may find more clubs joining the race for their player alongside the El Clasico duo.

“Real possibility”

Now, O’Rourke also feels the Spaniard could leave at the end of the season.

As a result, he reckons Conte will be on the lookout for a new left wing-back.

O’Rourke told GiveMeSport: “There’s a real possibility that Reguilon could return to Spain this summer.

“Real Madrid have a buy-back clause and there’s interest from Barcelona.

“So I think Conte will be in the market for a left wing-back to try and improve the squad.”

Reguilon has made appearances for Tottenham, of which have come this season.

Although he’s been a good player for Spurs, it remains to be seen what Conte thinks of his long-term chances.

In addition, if the player himself actively fancied a return to La Liga, then it’d be best to let him go.

Spurs are now in a position where they could arguably accept a major offer for Reguilon.

Ryan Sessegnon recently enjoyed his best run yet in the side, and Matt Doherty can fill in there.
