Report: Conte to leave new signing out at Chelsea today so he can play ‘fantastic’ 22-year-old

Tottenham travel across London today to take on Chelsea in a feisty looking London derby and Antonio Conte has some big calls to make.

After seeing his team hammer Southampton last week, the Italian will be keen to ensure consistency in his selections.

However, going into a big game against a top four rival will always get the cogs ticking for Conte, and according to the one big call Conte has to make is whether to start Ryan Sessegnon or Ivan Perisic at left wing-back.

TBR’s View: Sessegnon Deserves Tottenham Chances

Ryan Sessegnon has had to be patient for his chance with Spurs, with loan moves and injuries hindering his progress at times in north London.

However, he has seized the moment under Antonio Conte it seems and he is now in a position where Conte will find it hard to leave him out. He was outstanding last week and has previously been labelled a ‘fantastic‘ young player by Conte, after some impressive training displays.

Sessegnon will hope to have a big impact in what is a huge game at The Bridge today. If Spurs can see off Chelsea, it will send a message to the rest of the league that they really do mean business this season.
