According to , Everton are prepared to sell Dele Alli this summer, just six months after they signed him from Tottenham Hotspur.

The 26-year-old Englishman was once the golden boy of English football. He was absolutely magnificent for Spurs under Mauricio Pochettino and was viewed by many as the future of the club.

Sadly, since the Argentine’s departure, Alli has looked nothing like his previous self. Antonio Conte pushed him out of Tottenham in January, and it looks like Frank Lampard is ready to do the same now at Goodison Park.

Since joining Everton from Spurs almost four months ago, Alli has played just nine times in the Premier League – none of which have come from the start. He has remained an unused substitute in seven of the Toffees’ last 10 league games, and that doesn’t look like it’s going to change anytime soon.

As a result, Everton are prepared to let him leave this summer, claims that report.

Lampard’s side, who signed Alli on a free transfer in January, are looking for a fee of £20 million this summer, 25 per cent of which will go to Tottenham thanks to the sell-on clause inserted in his deal.

However, we cannot imagine any club being prepared to pay that amount for Alli this summer.

Conte wanted him gone in January

Antonio Conte has done an absolutely incredible job at Tottenham. Spurs are one step away from returning to the Champions League, and that’s all down to the world-class Italian.

However, things haven’t been easy for Conte. The Italian hasn’t had everything go his way over the last six months, but the one thing that did was when he told the club he wants Alli out of Tottenham.

Journalist Dean Jones revealed back in February that getting rid of Alli was an absolute priority for Conte in the winter window.

“I think getting rid of Alli was an intelligent move or a necessary move. I’m told Conte would not have used him again. He wanted him out as an absolute priority,” he said, as quoted by TBR Football.
