Tottenham are now in the driving seat after winning so emphatically away from home.

And although John McGinn’s sending off definitely helped the glut of goals late on, it always felt as if the game was heading in Spurs’ direction regardless.

Postecoglou’s side dominated the ball in the first half, and as always, Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven had the recovery pace to deal with Villa’s strong threat on the counter.

Van de Ven’s injury will be the only blip on the day, even if Radu Dragusin proved his individual worth when he was introduced.

All that being said, Conor Coady was left blown away by Son Heung-min’s performance when watching the game for .

Coady enjoyed several performances in a Tottenham shirt against Villa, but singled out Son in particular.

Of course, as well as his accuracy of his finishing, Son also provided two assists, tearing Villa apart in the closing stages of the game.

The was in devastating mood, and really did inspire his side to keep chasing goals in the closing stages.

Coady really could have praised a number of Tottenham players from the Villa win, but Son did prove to be the stand out man once again.

That being said, Pape Matar Sarr also proved that he can offer something no one else in the Spurs midfield can do today.

It’s all looking incredibly positive for Postecoglou right now, who has seen his team improve after a slight break in games recently.

And with a visit to Fulham on the horizon next, Tottenham will be hoping to repeat today’s rich success.
