Conor Coady has a great chance to get the better of Harry Kane

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Conor Coady has insisted he’s relishing Saturday’s battle with Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

The Black Country outfit play host to the Lilywhites for the day’s evening kick-off, and they’ll be hoping to get back to winning ways after losing their last two.

Wolves welcome Spurs, who were in Carabao Cup action against West Ham United on Wednesday.

The Lilywhites took to the field just 48 hours after hosting Manchester City on a battered Wembley pitch.

Coady has spoken of his excitement at coming up against Kane, and he has a great chance of keeping him quiet.

Kane arguably isn’t quite at the races yet

, Coady said: “He’s a fantastic footballer, what he’s done for Tottenham and England, he’s sensational.

“I don’t think it’s only him! They’ve got some pretty good footballers behind him as well.”

Captain Coady stands a great chance of keeping Kane quiet this weekend.

The defender has been in brilliant form this season along with Willy Boly and Ryan Bennett.

The team have conceded nine goals, meaning they’re currently the fifth-best defensive team in the Premier League so far.

He’s dealt pretty well with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Marko Arnautovic, Romelu Lukaku and Wilfried Zaha, and there’s no reason why he can’t add Kane to that list of names this weekend.

The Spurs hitman hasn’t fully hit the ground running yet despite scoring five goals, and Coady will fancy his chances against his fellow countryman.
