Goldson has not missed a minute of action for Steven Gerrard’s side this term. And he is arguably playing the best football since his move to Rangers in 2018 – by quite some way.

It looks to be an incredibly exciting time to be at Ibrox. The Gers recently clinched their 55th league title. And they may now be setting their sights for next season on qualifying for the Champions League.

“My dream was always to play week in, week out in the Premier League. Whether that happens, time will tell but I think for any English player that’s the dream,” .

“Playing in Europe against really top teams has made me realise I am good enough to play at that level.”

His current deal at Ibrox expires in 2022 (via ). So perhaps he may be wary about penning fresh terms and potentially extending his stay beyond then.

If that is the case, Rangers may be left in a difficult position. They will surely not want to sell him this summer. But if they hope to recoup a substantial fee and are unable to agree a new deal, they may have to think about letting him go in the coming months.
