‘Congrats’: Gary Neville mocks Arsenal fan with five-word tweet this morning

Arsenal fans have been over the moon with their recent results but what has irked many of them is Gary Neville picking Manchester United as the favourites to get into the top four.
The Red Devils suffered a 4-1 hammering from Manchester City on Sunday. Ralf Rangnick’s side looked really poor and based on current form, it’s really hard to justify that they’ll be in the Champions League next season.
However, Neville is adamant that his old side will finish above the Gunners. “I still think United can do it, I don’t trust Arsenal fully,” he said while talking about the top-four race on yesterday.
Following predictable backlash from Arsenal fans, Neville decided to mock one Gooner on Twitter this morning.

The rivalry between Manchester United and Arsenal isn’t the same as what it was two decades ago but the two sets of fans still don’t like each other.
Neville’s comments did not go down well with supporters of the North London club and one fan even laid down the math to make his case as to why the Gunners will finish above the Red Devils.
The fan : “Arsenal can go W-7 D-3 L-3 to finish on 72 points. To hit 72 points, United need to go W-8 D-1 L-1 And us (Arsenal) hitting 72 points would be dropping off from our current P/G ratio of 1.92, which would hit 73. United’s P/G ratio is 1.67. The P/G ratio they would need to get to 72 is 2.5.
Neville, instead of getting into an argument, decided to mock the Arsenal fan with a five-word tweet.
You’ve done it mate ! Congrats 🥳

Who will finish in the top four?
As things stand, Arsenal are the favourites to get into the Champions League next season.
The Gunners are currently one point ahead of the Red Devils and have three games in hand over them. Even if Arsenal lose all their games in hand and just win the one against United, they’ll be four points above Rangnick’s side, which really does give them the edge in the race.
If Arsenal lose their games in hand against Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham and go on to suffer defeat against United as well, that would leave them in a terrible position.
Recent years have shown that the Gunners are more than capable of losing from winning positions, but we must say, this Mikel Arteta side just looks a bit different.
