‘Complete’ striker scores hat-trick amid claims Arsenal could bid for him
Dominic Solanke has been linked with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, and the striker justified the speculation with a superb hat-trick for Bournemouth against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday.
Arsenal are on the hunt for a new striker in the January transfer window, and there is speculation that former Liverpool player Dominic Solanke is on their radar.

On December 16, reported that Arsenal are looking at a potential deal for Solanke. The Gunners’ main target in January is Ivan Toney, but the North London outfit do not want to pay too much for the Brentford and England international striker.
So, according to the report, former Liverpool striker Solanke has emerged as a potential alternative and a bid could be made. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will personally “push for Solanke’s arrival if an agreement for Toney can’t be reached”.
The Daily Star added that Bournemouth value Solanke at £50 million, and, on Saturday, the striker showed just why the Cherries rate him so highly.

The 26-year-old striker scored a hat-trick for Bournemouth against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday. The Cherries won the match . The Reds were down to 10 men in the 23rd minute.
Solanke scored all three goals in the second half. They came in the 51st, 58th and 94th minute.
For his first goal, the English striker beat Murillo in the air and sent a header spinning over Forest goalkeeper Matt Turner.

Solanke’s second came after Forest failed to clear a corner, and his third saw him score with a header again.
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola told about Solanke after the match: “He’s been good since day one. We have a very good forward for our system, he’s quite complete. He helps us scoring but with other things.
“He has to help us, sustain the high press, keep his position close to the box and if he does this we have the chances.”
Solanke has now scored 11 goals and given one assist in 17 Premier League matches this season.
The former Liverpool striker scored six goals and provided seven assists in 32 Premier League starts last season.
