‘Coming into good form’: Chris Sutton thinks ‘brilliant’ Rangers player has improved so much recently

Rangers beat Celtic on Sunday to secure their place in the Scottish Cup final, where they will face Hearts.

Chris Sutton has admitted that the Gers deserved to win the game, earning their second extra time victory in the space of four days.

On club, Sutton also reserved praise for midfielder John Lundstram, who says has recovered from a tough start at Ibrox.

“They dominated the middle of the park,” said Sutton of Rangers.

“Lundstram, who had a really sticky start at Rangers, is coming into good form now and they deserved the victory.”

The former Sheffield United man was described as ‘‘ by Gio van Bronckhorst after the stunning away win against Borussia Dortmund earlier this season.

Sunday was another eye-catching performance en route to a great result and now Rangers have a real shot at winning two trophies this season.

European success would be absolutely incredible and those are the nights that the Blades could not offer the man who moved north of the border in the summer.

The midfield man needs to keep his performance level high for those crucial games ahead and then silverware could well follow.
