‘Come back and save our defence’ – Everton fans heap praise on loanee Kurt Zouma
Everton’s hopes of finishing in seventh place took a hit in yesterday’s goalless drawn at Crystal Palace.
Wolves moved four clear with two to play after Everton failed to break down mid-table Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
But once again, it was a solid defensive display. And Kurt Zouma has been a key part of the defensive effort.
The 24-year-old is on a season-long loan at Chelsea and he has formed a solid partnership with Michael Keane in central defence.

Now, many Everton fans want to see Zouma return in the summer. Marco Silva is likely to launch a permanent bid for the defender ahead of next season.
With 34 games under his belt, including 30 in the Premier League, it is clear that Zouma is a big part of Silva’s plans.
And the 3-cap France international justified why with a solid performance against Crystal Palace. He helped to ensure that the Eagles did not hit Everton on the counter-attack.
After helping Everton to keep another clean sheet, Zouma received warm words from fans on Twitter. Here are some of the best tweets from supporters.
