Cole Palmer spotted going berserk after what Nicolas Jackson did vs Fluminense, Chelsea star was so angry

Chelsea are through to the final of the Club World Cup after running out 2-0 winners over Fluminense.

Joao Pedro was the hero of the day for Chelsea, scoring a brace on his full debut for his new side – and respectfully not celebrating against his former club.

However, while it was a job well done for most of the Chelsea players, Nicolas Jackson had another tricky evening for Enzo Maresca’s side.

Jackson replaced Pedro on the hour and, while he wasn’t bad for the most part, a decision he made in the match prompted an angry reaction from Cole Palmer.

Cole Palmer kicks post after Nicolas Jackson failed to square ball to Chelsea midfielder

In the 81st minute of the game, Jackson won the ball off one of Fluminense’s defenders and surged into the box from the left.

Jackson had the opportunity to pass to Palmer, who was free six yards out with an open goal, but the forward opted to go for goal himself.

However, Jackson could only find the side netting, prompting Palmer to give the post a kick and remonstrate with his teammate.

Although Jackson’s missed opportunity was not costly for Chelsea, it remains to be seen whether this could hamper his first-team chances further.

Callum Wilson shares Nicolas Jackson theory amid Enzo Maresca’s verdict on Chelsea striker

Former Newcastle United forward Callum Wilson believes Jackson may be a bit nervous about finishing off his chances, which could have played a part in what happened in the 81st minute.

“Jackson comes on and probably should have squared it to Cole Palmer,” Wilson said on DAZN, as per .

“You can tell he’s thinking about his chances and opportunities and knowing he has to take them when he can and that sometimes can affect a player and it looks like it has.”

Meanwhile, Maresca said after the game: “Nicolas is our player. He is a striker. He played almost all the games last season. Now Joao started today but yes, he was OK.”
