Club wants to sign ‘phenomenal’ Aston Villa player by Thursday as medical booked

Aston Villa have been incredibly busy on the transfer front in recent weeks and it doesn’t look as though they’re finished yet.

Six players have joined the Villa ranks this summer, with Ian Ma🌸atsen, Cameron Archer, Samuel Iling-Junior, Lewis Dobbin, Enzo Barrenechea and Ross Barkley all arriving in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, five players have departed B6. Douglas Luiz, Tim Iroegbunam and Morgan Sanson have been sold, while Philippe Coutinho has left on loan and Calum Chambers has be🎶en released.

Now, it looks as though there could be another outgoing from Villa, with a “phenomenal” player said to be the subject of 🐽discussions involving a Saudi🦋 Pro League club.

Indeed, Italian football journalist Rudy Galetti has now reported that the club in question has a♕lready scheduled a medical for the player.

Al-Ittihad medical tabled in for Aston Villa star Moussa Diaby

The player in question is Moussa Diaby, who is wanted by Al-Ittihad. Talks are said to be under way between the Villans and ꦛthe Jeddah-🦹based outfit.

Fabrizio Romano reported earlier today that the Villans want more than £46million to ꦐpart company with the French forward, who in turn is keen on a move to Al-Ittihad.

However, Galetti has reported that not only has the People’s Club agreed 🤡a deal in principle with Villa, but ꦐthat a verbal agreement had been reached with Diaby.

Now, Galetti has taken to 🦂X to report that Al-Ittihad have pencilled in a medical for Diaby and are hoping to close an💎y pending aspects very soon.

They are also hoping they can get a dea🔴l over the line by Thursday so he can join their training🍸 camp on Friday, added the transfer insider.

Speculation suggests Diaby is set to leave Villa

Speculation involving Diaby and Al-Ittihad has intensified in recent hours, and it looks as though there’s a good chance Villa won’t be starting the season with the “phenomenal” winger.

It’s a shame as he would surely be a key player in one of the most eagerly aw𓄧aited seasons that the Villans have had in many years.

Villa have Champions League to look🌌 forward to, and there’s always the potential to kick on and maybe even ruffle some feathers in the Premier League title race.
