Club stop selling their ‘world class’ player’s shirts after claims Tottenham could sign him

Tottenham Hotspur are now just two weeks away from their season opener and remain in search of a new forward.

Ange Postecoglou has seen Yang Min-hyeok signed but the South Korean prospect will not arrive until January from Gangwon FC.

As things stand, Tottenham will be going into the new campaign with the exact same front line as they ended the 2023/24 term with.

It is an area of the pitch in which the Spurs boss has been keen to bring in some new recruits as Spurs near the new season without a fit striker.

And it now seems as if one of their summer targets could be nearing a move away from his current club after his shirt was removed from sale to their fans.

Tottenham target has shirt taken off sale by his club

During Tottenham’s pre-season efforts, there has not exactly been a struggle from the Lilywhites in finding the back of the net.

However, there will be considerable concern as to who is going to lead the line this season.

Spurs relied heavily on the collective front line to chip in with the goals as Spurs failed to find a replacement for Harry Kane.

And it seems as if Spurs are targeting another winger who could also help provide the club with some goals as they remain without a fit striker.

According to , Juventus have now taken Federico Chiesa shirts off sale to the public with the player’s future in doubt.

Tottenham are one of the clubs who have been showing an interest in Chiesa so far this summer.

But the Lilywhites are also joined by some of their Premier League rivals with the likes of Arsenal also claimed to be keen on Chiesa.

The ‘world class‘ Italy international is a player who is now being completely put to one side by the Turin side following the appointment of Thiago Motta.

Tottenham also keen to sign Dominic Solanke this summer

By far, Tottenham’s biggest need over the coming weeks is to sign a new striker given their issues experienced over pre-season.

Goals have not been an issue this summer, but Richarlison failing to rack up any game time has been a real concern.

The Brazilian’s absence through injury has even seen Postecoglou share his desire for Tottenham to sign a striker over the coming weeks.

The latest name to emerge as a target is Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.

Tottenham are now believed to be upping their pursuit of Solanke as they face going into the new campaign potentially having to play Dejan Kulusevski through the middle.
