Club now ready to sell £55m player after claims Tottenham are preparing bid

Barcelona are now happy to sell Raphinha to raise some much needed cash – as Tottenham prepare a bid for the Brazilian.

That is according to Marca.

So, what is the latest on Tottenham target Raphinha? Let’s take a look…

Barcelona put Raphinha up for sale

Well – according to in Spain – Tottenham are preparing a bid to sign the Brazil international this summer as Ange Postecoglou aims to improve his attack.

Now – as detailed by another Spanish news outlet in – Raphinha is one of three players who are up for sale as Barcelona attempt to raise some funds to balance the books this summer.

Andreas Christensen and Jules Kounde are the other names on the transfer list.

Marca explain how Barcelona have an amortised €30m (£26m) payment due to be paid on the signing of Raphinha from Leeds back in July 2022 – so he is most likely to be sold next.

The South American has struggled to assert himself at the Camp Nou despite his obvious talent – which Premier League fans know all about.

Raphinha has scored just goals in 71 appearances for Barcelona – a player of his quality can do much better, in all honesty.

The 27-year-old has also found chances hard to come by this season, making starts out of a possible 24 in La Liga under Xavi.

Raphinha to Tottenham could see a position change for Dejan Kulusevski

If Tottenham sign Raphinha – who recently expressed his love for Arsenal – it will be interesting to see how Postecoglou uses the man from Porto Alegre.

Raphinha has made a name for himself in football by cutting inside from the right flank onto his stronger left foot, which is also how Dejan Kulusevski tends to play the game.

Therefore, it may be tough to get both forwards in the same starting XI, which suggests Postecoglou may adapt the Sweden international’s position slightly.

Whatever happens, Tottenham’s attack would undoubtedly improve with the addition of Raphinha, who seems far better suited to English football than he does to life in Spain.
