Like many of Chelsea’s transfer decisions in the last 18 months, it’s taken up until now for the Blues to do the thing they arguably should have done from the start.

It’s clear that Broja is in need of a loan move, with the west London side never going to receive the reported £50m or even £35m they wanted for the 22-year-old striker.

Yet with Chelsea now open to straight loan offers for Broja, there’s a good chance that there will be plenty of proposals in the coming hours for the striker, including from West Ham.
