Club believe they have good chance of signing £30m Liverpool man this summer
Journalist Dean Jones has shared how Caoimhin Kelleher feels about joining Celtic this summer, with the Hoops believing that there is a good chance of landing the Liverpool goalkeeper.
The position of Caoimhin Kelleher is back under the microscope after his performance in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday as the Reds beat Chelsea at Wembley.
Kelleher made a brilliant early save from Cole Palmer. And he went on to make a couple more superb stops as Liverpool went on to win 1-0 in extra-time.
Celtic hopeful of signing Caoimhin Kelleher this summer
Of course, Kelleher is the understudy at Anfield. He is behind Alisson Becker in the pecking order. And given that Alisson is one of the best in the world, it is likely that he will return to the number two spot once the Brazilian is back available.

There is a feeling that Kelleher will leave Liverpool this summer, with Reds looking for a fee of around £30 million.
And perhaps it could be Celtic who manage to strike a deal for the Republic of Ireland international. Joe Hart is set to retire in the summer. And writing for , Dean Jones has claimed that a move to Parkhead could well be on the cards for Kelleher.
“Early indications suggest that he is open to the prospect of joining Celtic, and the terms of a transfer are going to be more thoroughly explored in the coming months. Sources close to Celtic describe there being a “good chance” of finding an agreement,” he wrote.
Liverpool may have to be prepared to consider compromise
Based on what Kelleher has shown whenever he has played for Liverpool, he would undoubtedly be a fantastic signing for the Bhoys.
But clearly, the asking price is going to prove to be a major stumbling block if Liverpool do hold out for £30 million. .
Perhaps a loan may be possible if Liverpool hold out hope of Kelleher still succeeding Alisson in the future. But there will be plenty of hurdles to clear before the Irishman ends up at Celtic Park this summer.
