Clive Allen admits he’s completely changed his mind about £17m Tottenham player

Former Tottenham Hotspur player Clive Allen has now admitted that he’s completely changed his opinion over one of the club’s new signings.

Allen🎃 was speaking on this morning and said any worries have now been entirely reassured.

The pundit was referring to Spurs’ Guglielmo Vicario, who signed for in the summer.

♏And Allen certainly isn’t the first person to mention that Vicario looked a little shaky when he first arrived.

♓However, the fee paid now looks to be a bargain for a 27-year-old who is improving with every game.

🐭Speaking about his progress, : “I wasn’t convinced at the start I have to say, there was just a little bit of unease in the way that he started.

𓄧“But I think he’s grown in confidence, he’s commanding his penalty box which you always need in a goalkeeper.

♎“He backs the back line up really well and everybody talks about how Spurs play this high line, his starting positions are very good.

▨“And his shot-stopping has been second-to-none, so he really has been a massive find I have to say.”

Of course, having scored 49 goals in one season for Spursꦰ in the past, Allen is very familiar with goalkeepers.

𒈔And there’s surely no better seal of approval than that of a striker, who instinctively looks for a keeper’s faults.

🐲Vicario’s arrival has proved to be a very astute one, a player who was willing to take responsibility immediately.

And had Spurs not signed Vicario, 🦩they could have easily ended up a lot worse off with another option they were pursuing.

🐷However, with all the absences Tottenham have had of late, Vicario has been a vital pillar of consistency.

𝓀There’s no doubt he can still improve his game, but these first few months have been very promising.

🌜And in truth, many have followed the same thought process as Clive Allen with the new Tottenahm signing.

It was never going to be easy to replace Hugo Lloris, but Vicario does seem the man for the task.

ꦓAnd if all continues to go to plan, Vicario will hope to have a legacy similar to that of the former France captain, albeit one littered with a few more trophies.
