France icon Claude Makelele has claimed that Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is actually better than he was.
The 51-year-old was one of the greatest defensive midfielders in the world back in the day. He was unbelievable in his prime, but he thinks Manchester United star Casemiro is better than him.

The Brazilian was an absolute icon at the Santiago Bernabeu. He was a key member of the squad that won five Champions League titles.
A lot was expected of Casemiro at Manchester United, and even though he hasn’t quite lived up to the hype, he has produced a few fantastic moments.

In a video on , Makelele was asked to stay quiet until a better defensive midfielder was named. He didn’t react when the likes of Declan Rice, Roy Keane, Joshua Kimmich🌱 and Javier Mascherano were mentioned, but he admitted defeat when Casmeiro’s name popped up.
