The ‘tipping point’ which caused Dan Ashworth to leave Manchester United after just five months

Just like that, Dan Ashworth’s time at Manchester United is over after a little over five months in post.

After much wrangling to get him out of Newcastle United and to Old Trafford, United have confirmed that Ashworth has now left his post at the club.

It comes after a number of questionable signings over the summer and apparent difficulties in the workin❀g relationship with the likes of Omar Berrada.

Furthermore, TBR also understands that Jim Ratcliffe was not overly happy with the decision led by Asಌhworth to keep Erik ten Hag around for longer.

And in further revelations from TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook, it seems that the relationship issues wi𓃲thin the new hierarchy proved crucial to Ashworth leaving.

The decision that pushed Dan Ashworth to leave Man United

Taking to X to reveal the news on Ashworth’s exit, journalist Crook has claimed that Ashworth felt on the side lines right from the beginningꦍ.

It’s suggested that Berrada and Dave Brailsford were🅷 calling the shots at the club with Ashworth very much on the outside, and in the end that relationship becamꦍe strained.

Finally, it’s claimed that the straw that broke the camel’s back was the appointment of Ruben Amorim as ꧃manager.

Ashworth is thought to have wanted to go with a British coach – like Gareth Southgate – but was 🅷seemingly overruled as the club pushed for Amorim.

INEOS and Ratcliffe already facing uphill battle at Manchester United

For year𝓡s, United fans have ꦉcomplained about the running of the club from the standpoint of the Glazers being in charge.

But now, it looks like that ཧJim Ratcliffe and INEOS are up against it fro⛦m day one as well as they look to make their mark on the club.

This dismissal of Ashwor🍸th is not a good look at all and will raise further questions about just how suited the new owners a💃re when it comes to running a football club.

United’s defeat against Forest this weekend has only magnified the problems as well and with United in the bottom half of the table, it’s looking like anoth༒er long season for those loyal fans.
