Chris Sutton suggests ‘brilliant’ Premier League manager should get the Manchester United job
Erik ten Hag’s position at Manchester United is under serious threat.
Manchester United are enduring their worst-ever start to a Premier League season, and as the club sit 14th in the table, questions are being asked of the manager.
Ten Hag’s position is precarious, and it may not be long before there is a change in the Old Trafford dugout.
Of course, if United are to sack Ten Hag, they need to have a plan in mind as to who can replace him.
Gareth Southgate has been strongly linked with Manchester United in recent times, but speaking on , Chris Sutton has given another suggestion.
Indeed, Sutton has tipped Fulham boss, Marco Silva as an option for United, claiming that he’s done well enough at Craven Cottage to warrant a step up.

Chris Sutton suggests Marco Silva for Manchester United job
Sutton shared his verdict on who should get the Manchester United job.
“If you were on that board what would you suggest now?” Robbie Savage asked.
“You know my feelings on Erik ten Hag, Rob. I don’t think he should be there. I don’t think he should’ve been there in the summer,” Sutton said.
“Who would you go for?” Suton was posed.
“Marco Silva? Has he done a good enough job at Fulham, Rob? Marco Silva to Manchester United? What do you think?” Sutton stated.
Marco Silva has been called ‘brilliant’ by Willian
Marco Silva doesn’t necessarily have the experience at the top level, but he has managed some top players in his time.
Silva has worked with the likes of Joao Palhinha at Fulham and Richarlison at Everton, but perhaps the most decorated player he’s ever worked with is Willian.
Willian knows a good coach when he sees one having played top-level football for the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal over the years, and even he has said that Silva is a brilliant manager.
“Marco Silva has been brilliant this season and last season as well. I think I can say that he is one of the best managers I have worked with in my whole career, and it has been great to work with him,” Willian said.
Willian has worked under the likes of Mikel Arteta and Jose Mourinho, so to call Silva one of the best managers he’s worked under is high praise.
Who knows? Perhaps the Fulham boss could be the man to replace Erik ten Hag. After all, .
