Chris Sutton says he’s been really let down by one Man City player this season
Manchester City have been characteristically brilliant in the Premier League so far this season.
The reigning Premier League champions are, o🐟nce again, top of the table, and they’re the only unbeaten team left in the English leagues.
However, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing for City.
Pep Guardiola’s side have꧅ been fortunate in recent narrow wins against Fulham and Southampton, and some of their key players haven’t been firing on all cylinders as of late.
Erling Haaland has just one goal in his last four league games, while, speaking on Fantasy 606, Chris Sutton has criticised Phil Foden.

Chris Sutton criticises Phil Foden
Sutton spoke♛ about Foden when he was discussing his fanꦚtasy football team this year.
Sutton✤ s𒁏ays he’s been disappointed with how Foden has performed this season, questioning what has happened with the England star.
“Bit disappointed with Phil Foden,” Sutton said.
“𒈔What has happened to him this season? That was another pu✱nt. It’s slightly unlucky.
“You think Southampton at home will just open 🔯up. We’veಞ not been particularly good other than the Saka week of picking captains, but we’re having a great season.””
What Pep Guardiola has said about Phil Foden
Foden’s lack of form this season has bee🔯n no secret.
Foden is yet 🌞to score a goal in the Premier 𝓰League, and he has just one assist to his name.
His stats after nine games this season are po🃏or in comparison to how he ended last season.

Goals | 8 | 0 |

Luckily, Pep Guardiola believes Foden will be 💖back to his best soon.
Phil Foden 🧔is going to be back! As much as he feels good, he will be back. I think in 30 minutes at St James’ Park, I already felt something that I like that I didn’t see for example against Watford.
“Don’t forget after the Euros he didn’t 🐷have any training for two months, he had pꦇroblems with some niggles and some problems in his health. But now he is smiling and he’s in his rhythm.
“He was♋ the best player in the Premier League last season so we need him, he was important for us, but I have no doubts with his love for football and his training and passion, he will be back.”
All players have their dips in🦩 form, and Foden, sadly, is experiencing a bit of a lull right now.
As the old saying goes, form is temporary, class is permanent, and it may not be long before Foden’s class starts to🅠 shine through once again.
