Chris Sutton says ‘devastating’ Harry Kane and Son Heung-min could combine to beat Marseille tonight
Chris Sutton believes Tottenham Hotspur stars Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are devastating on the counter-attack and could combine again today to beat Marseille in the Champions League tonight.
Spurs will face Les Phocéens at the Stade Velodrome in a very important fixture. The North Londoners need a point to confirm qualification to the next round of the Champions League, and Kane and Son will both have to step up.

Marseille were really unlucky to not get anything away from the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the reverse fixture.
They completely dominated the first half, but the game changed when Chancel Mbemba got himself sent off. Richarlison then scored twice in the end to give Spurs the win, but they just can’t play like that again.
Sutton believes Marseille will once again keep hold of the ball, which means Spurs will play on the counter. The pundit thinks that favours Tottenham in a way, as there will surely be opportunities for Kane and Son to combine and cause havoc on the counter-attack – just like they did against Frankfurt.
He wrote on : “Marseille tend to have the majority of possession in their games and they know the onus is on them to go for it tonight. That could work to Tottenham’s advantage because they prefer playing on the counter-attack.
“Harry Kane and Son Heung-min can be devastating that way. Kane drops deep, receives the ball, turns and finds Son, who is already making his trademark forward run behind the opposition’s back line.
“We’ve seen that work time and again for Tottenham, like when they opened the scoring against Eintracht Frankfurt.”

Even though Tottenham have looked awful this season, they are third in the Premier League and on top of their Champions League group at the moment.
That is a massive positive, and every Spurs fan will know that if they can step up now, they could go on and achieve something really special at the end of the campaign.
The two Spurs players who will once again be integral are Kane and Son. The former has been brilliant, but the South Korean has really struggled this season.
However, Sutton’s right, if Kane and Son can combine, they can be devastating, and Tottenham fans will be hoping to see just that in Marseille tonight.
