Chris Sutton says Arsenal have a ‘super intelligent’ player who’s an absolute genius on the pitch

Arsenal have got off to a solid start in the Premier League so far this season.

The Gunners have picked up seven points from a possible nine in their opening three games, and if it weren’t for a stupid red card from Declan Rice on Saturday, it would potentially be three wins from three.

Rice’s red card was utter stupidity from everyone involved, but speaking on the , Chris Sutton has praised another Arsenal player for his brains.

Indeed, Sutton spoke highly of Kai Havertz after his promising start to the season, claiming that he is a super-intelligent footballer who has seriously improved in recent timꦉes for Arsenal.

Chris Sutton praises Kai Havertz

Sutton spoke highly of the German.

“I think he is a good🦄 fit for Arsenal. Is he an out-and-out centre-forward? He suits the way that Arsenal play. I thought he took his goal brilliantly at the weekend,” Sutton said.

“The bottom line is he is just a super-intelligent footballer. I think he can lead the🌌 line and he is obviously playing with confidence.🏅 He had that spell at Chelsea where maybe his confidence dipped a bit, but Arteta has got the best out of him, and that has been really beneficial for Arsenal.”

Kai Havertz has been unlocked

For the longest time, the🅷 conversation around Kai Havertz was how can a manager get the best out of him.

Havertz was an enigma of a footballer, he wa🃏sn’t quite a striker and he wasn’t quite a midfielder, and nobody seemed to know h𝓰ow to get the best out of him.

However, Mikel Arteta seems to have finally crac🌳ked the code.

Arteta has found a role that suits Havertz to a tee, and it’s fair to say th꧙at the German is playing the best he has ever played since arriving in English football.

Whether or not Havertz is the number nine who will lead Arsenal to a league title remains to be seen, but 🀅the early signs from the forward this season are very promising.

This time last year, Havertz was being criticised on a weekly basis, but now, the story has completely changed.
