Chris Sutton raves about Liverpool trio following Champions League win
BBC pundit Chris Sutton has raved about three Liverpool stars after last night’s 2-0 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League. The Premier League side won 4-0 on aggregate and won a place in the quarter-final of the competition.
The Reds had to wait until the second-half to wrap up the tie. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane scored for Liverpool to give Jurgen Klopp’s team a badly-needed boost of confidence.

Leipzig proved dogged opponents for the six-time winner of the competition and but with some better finishing, they could have made the contest nervy for Liverpool.
After the game, Chris Sutton who works on BBC Radio 5 Live as a pundit had praise for Nat Phillips, Ozan Kabak and Fabinho for their efforts during the victory.
Liverpool needed a performance like that… missed chances but got there in the end. Fabinho excellent in his best position. Kabak, Phillips very good.

Fabinho won the Man of the Match accolade and seeing him return to his natural position in midfield will have delighted supporters.
The 27-year-old has spent most of the current campaign deputising as a centre-back. Although he has done a good job there, the midfield misses his energy and warrior-like defensive qualities.
Fabinho was the star attraction last night but Sutton was right to praise the centre-back pairing too.
Kabak has come in for some criticism since arriving at the club but he does look like a player who will improve.

He was solid against Leipzig and the more he plays, the more he will prove himself as an important player in the Liverpool ranks.
Supporters are running out of superlatives for young gun Phillips and he was magnificent once again last night.
The 23-year-old has been bumped up the pecking order due to Liverpool’s injury problems and has never let anyone down.
He was solid as a rock last night and is becoming an undroppable member of Klopp’s team.
