Raheem Sterling wants to join Arsenal ahead of Manchester United

It has been claimed by that Raheem Sterling prefers a move to Arsenal ahead of Manchester United.

They state that a move to Manchester has looked most likely after talks were held between the two clubs over a potential swap deal involving Jadon Sancho, however GMS sources have stated that Sterling would prefer a move to Arsenal if it came down to a straight choice.

Joining Arsenal has been described as the ideal scenario as he would be able to stay in London, while the winger also feels that the set-up and team status would be a better transition for him.

Mikel Arteta is a big fan of Sterling from their time together at Manchester City, But, it won’t be easy to pull off as serious advancements still need to be made for any deal to be done.

One thing that would be required is for Chelsea to top up his wages at his new club.

Is Raheem Sterling Arsenal’s missing piece?

The Gunners narrowly missed out on the Premier League title last season after throwing away a promising position.

Having someone like an Erling Haaland who can guarantee you goals proved to be the difference as Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus weren’t able to contribute as much as they would have liked up top.

However, bringing in a player like Sterling could proved to be the difference.

At 29, he’s in the prime of his career and has the experience. His goalscoring ability has been evident throughout his career with 181 goals up until this point and he’s a winner.
