Chelsea’s main transfer focus after £85m cash injection now shared, seven deals mooted
An insight into Chelsea’s transfer plans following their recent Club World Cup triumph has been shared.
Chelsea beat Champions League holders PSG in the competition’s showpiece late last week, meaning they are world champions for the next four years.
Cole Palmer earned high praise from two former players for his starring role in the final.
He scored twice and assisted the Blues’ other goal against PSG, handing the West London outfit a major boost.
Chelsea earned £85m from the Club World Cup – nearly double what Kieran Maguire expects them to have budgeted for this summer.
Now, after their recent cash injection, an update on their transfer plans has been shared this week.

Chelsea transfer plans post-Club World Cup win shared
Chelsea have already completed six signings in the 2025 summer transfer window.
- Jamie Gittens – Dortmund, £51.5m
- Joao Pedro – Brighton, £60m
- Liam Delap – Ipswich, £30m
- Estevao Willian – Palmeiras, £29.1m
- Dario Essugo – Sporting, £18.5m
- Mamadou Sarr – RC Strasbourg, undisclosed
Going forward, however, at least for the time being, there is expected to be more onus put on departures.
It comes with reporting on Thursday that ‘the main focus’ for now is on moving players on.
The report goes on to name seven Chelsea stars who are not part of the club’s long-term plans.
They are Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Joao Felix, Renato Veiga, Armando Broja, Lesley Ugochukwu and Axel Disasi.
However, while there has been a shift toward exits, more transfers could still be completed at Stamford Bridge this summer, though they are dependent on departures, it’s claimed.

Players Chelsea could sign this summer
Reports this week say Chelsea have begun talks over Eberechi Eze, who has a £68m release clause and is also wanted by Arsenal.
Enzo Maresca’s side asked about signing Ethan Nwaneri during talks with the Gunners regarding Noni Madueke.
Meanwhile, TBR sources revealed recently that AC Milan shot-stopper Mike Maignan is still wanted by Chelsea after showing interest in the Frenchman prior to the Club World Cup.
That potential move comes amid continued question marks over Robert Sanchez’s ability between the sticks.
