Chelsea’s latest internal talks prove Enzo Maresca’s future at Stamford Bridge has already been decided
Chelsea’s latest round of internal talks proves they have already decided what is going to happen with the future of Enzo Maresca.
Maresca is coming under a fair bit of pressure after Chelsea were beaten 3-0 away at Brighton leaving them with just three wins from their last 11 matches.
The Italian’s bright start to life in the west of the capital means the Blues’ supporters will continue to back him for now, however, things will need to change quickly.
Chelsea fans have become accustomed to underperforming managers quickly being relieved of their duties and the West London club appear to have already made their mind up on Maresca.

Chelsea already holding transfer meetings with Enzo Maresca
Fabrizio Romano claims that Chelsea are already holding transfer meetings with Enzo Maresca for the summer window proving he remains firmly part of their long-term plans.
It’s clear that Chelsea still need a top goalkeeper and striker with Robert Sanchez and Nicolas Jackson’s performances being questioned.
But overall, the Blues remain very happy with Maresca and accept it will take him for his team to become a genuine success at Stamford Bridge.
Romano told his YouTube: “In general for Chelsea it remains not the best moment but for the long term Chelsea remain very happy with Maresca.
“Very happy with the approach he has with the players, his tactical approach and his mentality which he is giving to the team.
“So obviously it’s not the best moment but in terms of long term view, Chelsea are not changing their mind. They absolutely see him as the right manager for the present and future.
“They are building with Enzo Maresca, they are already having meetings for the summer transfer window with Maresca so he is 100 per cent involved in the summer plans.”
Will Chelsea make the Champions League qualification spots?
Chelsea remain firmly in the hunt to secure Champions League football for next season despite their humiliating defeat on the South Coast.
The Blues are currently in sixth place but are level on points with Bournemouth who occupy fifth – which could become a UCL qualification spot.

Maresca’s team are also just four points behind Nottingham Forest, which should offer some perspective on the decent job the Italian is doing at the Bridge.
